SPRING EXTENDED Harrows (BSP) have been a proven tool for many years not only for high-quality mechanical care, but also as an alternative to chemical weed control. The field of application of BSP is very wide. Thanks to its successful application in the processing of grain, technical, vegetable, leguminous crops, and pastures, BPSh began to play a decisive role in modern agriculture. It is very important to harrow crops to destroy the soil crust, especially on heavy soils.
Spring harrows
The Agrokalina company produces two types of light spring harrows, which differ from each other in the type of fastening of the working sections and can be equipped with Ø6 or Ø7 mm springs.

The BPSH mounted harrow is distinguished by the simplicity of the unit design with a six-row section of rakes with 9 working bodies in each row. In work, this arrangement provides for an optimal step of the track between the rakes of 20 mm. Which provides a combination of high passability, processing accuracy and minimal impact on the plant.

Harrowing

As a result, the plants partially die, sprouts do not appear amicably. All this ultimately greatly reduces the yield and quality of crops.
Plowing of winter crops in spring
As soon as you can go to the field in the spring, you can harrow the winter crops. Do not rush, the ground should be dry. Harrowing in the spring has a number of advantages: thanks to the destruction of the crust in the spring, aeration of the soil is created and it warms up faster. This leads to a faster start of vegetation, strengthens the stem, and stimulates bushing. If the soil is harder and covered with a thicker crust, a rotary harrow should be used before harrowing Antox. After it, the soil becomes more loose and suitable for harrowing.
7 tips for "blind" harrowing
1. Take into account the depth of the sowing material and the depth of harrow processing.
2. Plan harrowing "blindly" already during sowing.
3. Check the work results.
4. Adjust the angle of attack of the teeth depending on the properties of the soil and its flowability.
5. The speed of cultivation should be chosen depending on the crop, the depth of sowing seeds, the type of soil and its looseness, etc.
6. The maximum processing depth during blind harrowing should be no more than 3 cm.
7. Carefully follow the harrowing and regulation in this way the farmer should gain his own experience to achieve the best result in his conditions.
When there is a risk of frost, harrowing is prohibited!
When harrowing in winter, it is necessary to ensure that after a few days there are no frosts, since harrowing reduces the frost resistance of the crop. Mechanical processing can increase the sensitivity of the crop to cold. Therefore, when there is a risk of frost, it is necessary to abandon harrowing.
Pitch of harrow teeth
The actual pitch of the teeth: 2,5 cm. The pitch of the teeth affects the way of processing. With six rows, there are 60 teeth per 1,5 m section. The basic condition for weed control is the minimum possible pitch of the teeth.
"Blind" harrowing in spring
"Blind" harrowing in spring has a very positive effect on crops, as weeds can be destroyed at the "white thread" stage. This approach is carried out between sowing and seedlings of the main crop. Deeper cultivation of the seed material ensures that the sprouts of the main crop will not be damaged.
It is at the "white thread" stage that it is possible to achieve the greatest effect in the destruction of weeds - 80%.
