DEREX spring harrow
DEREX spring harrows are designed for primary processing of crop residues after crop harvesting. Aggressive tines evenly distribute plant residues on the field, thus preparing the field for subsequent cultivation with uniform mixing of residues. The harrow can also be used effectively for the first surface husking of stubble, planting catch crops, soil preparation, opening and warming the soil in the spring, and for aerating pastures or seeded areas.
This harrow is designed to cover moisture, care for the soil and prepare the field for sowing. The harrow has 5 rows of spring teeth and vertical disks that level the surface of the soil, evenly distributes straw and nutrient residues, and also promotes their rapid decomposition. Perfect for technology No-till, Mini-till, Strip-till.Key features
A simple unit with a large number of agronomic advantages.
- Soil treatment
- Cultivation of meadows and pastures
- Violation of the soil crust
- Plant residue management
The DEREX lightweight spring harrow has many agronomic advantages and offers a wide range of applications. It is mainly intended for the even distribution of straw after harvesting and for provoking the growth of the carcass of grain crops.
However, it can also be used for light spring tillage, aeration of grain crops, permanent pastures, including the possibility of additional feeding or sowing siderates.
WORKING SECTION WITH FIVE ROWS OF TEETH
For an intensive working effect.
The semi-mounted harrow is distinguished by the simplicity of the construction of the unit with a five-row section of teeth, which have a size of 16 × 700 mm.
This arrangement involves a large overlap of the teeth. The depth can be easily set from the tractor cab using hydraulics.
FRONT EQUIPMENT
Disc with a diameter of 430 mm. is a cutting disc with a sharp edge that easily penetrates the soil.
Such a disc lifts only a small amount of soil. The sharp edge of the disk grinds well the stalks of cereal crops and oil crops.
The disc is also used for aerating pastures.
Angle of attack
It is possible to adjust the last two rows to a different angle of attack (more aggressive or less aggressive)
Control of re-sprouting
Derex harrows are the ideal tool to ensure rapid and controlled plant regrowth, especially regrowth of small-seeded crops. The springs stir the seeds of plants and weeds on the surface of the soil. Regrowth takes place evenly and quickly over the entire surface of the soil. In the following, weeds and weeds can be destroyed by chemical or mechanical processing. If the seeds of weeds and fallow crops fall into a deeper soil layer as a result of harrowing and soil cultivation, there is a risk of uncontrolled germination in future crops.
The volume of crop residues increases with the growth of productivity
Agronomic advantages:
• Processing of crop residues - uniform distribution of crop residues on the surface of the field
• Launch of secondary controlled growth
• Effective pest control (snails and mice)
• Early spring preparation of heavy and wet soils
• Quickly opens and warms the soil surface
• Weed control by mechanical methods
Soil preparation in early spring
Derex with leveling board Crushbar - ideal for soil preparation in early spring - for opening, leveling and warming the top layer of soil.
— Crushbar frontal hydraulic leveling board levels the soil after plowing.
— The first three rows of the harrow aerate and cause the upper layer of the soil to warm up.
— The last two rows can be set at a different angle than the first three to achieve a better alignment effect.
Using Derex with Crushbar can significantly accelerate soil maturation for spring planting.
Treatment of pastures and perennial grasses
Derex is ideal for the care of perennial grasses and their restoration.
Using a harrow helps to achieve:
— better penetration of herbs to water, oxygen and nutrients.
— better weeding of herbs, which will lead to better productivity.
— it is also possible to use it for sowing herbs.
Risk of spread of slugs and mice
Accumulation of straw with higher humidity is an ideal space for slugs and mice to live and spread. This is especially dangerous if in the crop rotation there is rapeseed after cereals, there is a risk of the spread of slugs and mice, which will damage rapeseed crops.
When using Derex, the straw is evenly distributed over the surface of the field and under the influence of the sun, snail eggs dry out.
The fight against mice in the field is an important task for the preservation of the crop. One of the methods of combating mice is harrowing the stubble. This involves regular movement of stubble from place to place in order to prevent mice from finding a permanent place of residence and to find new places to live. In addition, harrowing the stubble helps prevent the reproduction of mice, which often build their burrows in the stubble.
